Today, I tried a new church. It was very small & the people were all very friendly. Among other things, I was given this bottle of olive oil as a 'parting gift,' I guess :) That was very nice. I still have some other churches I want to check out, but this can remain on the list. I feel like I'm on "House Hunters." lol

I noticed this park a little while ago and was waiting for the perfect time to go. Today was the perfect time. I took a book and sat by the little water fall and read while the sun tried to darken my legs.
But then an ant crawled on me, and a moth flew too close for comfort. And, I looked under the overpass and noticed two bats hanging. It was at this point, I realized I was done being one with nature & could go home.
It was very scenic, though & I plan to go back.

Today, I went to the Joyce Meyer conference in East Rutherford. Yesi and Vanessa let me tag along with them so I didn't have to go alone :)

Overall, it was good but too short.

This is our random-thought jar at work. If you have a random thought, just write it down and stick it in the jar. If you ever need a break, pull out a random thought & read aloud for all to enjoy. Simple, right? Now you can implement one in your office, too! :) (I think we were thoughtless there for a while).

Today, as Vanessa and I were switching trains at Penn Station, we saw a crowd gathered, waiting on a celebrity. We found out Queen Latifah and some other stars of "Hairspray" were going to be coming by and taking the Light Rail to the premiere of the movie at NJPAC. We decided to stay & be gawkers. After about 30 mins. in the heat & crowd, I bailed. Vanessa stayed & agreed to take a picture for me. Here's what we got :) Can you recognize anyone's head?

Friday the 13th. Tasha's birthday is Sunday so I brought in a cake to work so we could celebrate. My boss suggested to make it an iPod, and another co-worker (Vanessa) wrote on wax paper for the screen portion since I can't write too well w/icing.

My boss ordered office supplies. Since I pretty much have everything I need from Detroit & Cleveland, all I ordered was this stress ball. If you look closely, you can see that I "painted" the nails on the hand :)

While my Jeep is at the shop getting body work done (thanks to an accident my last day in Cleveland -- not my fault!), I have to use this loaner car. It's not fun, mostly because it takes a good 2 minutes for the engine to finally turn over & actually start.

Tonight, I hung out with my friend, Vanessa, from work. We went to a church service at her church in Newark. Then, we took the youth from her church to a church in The Bronx for a 'lounge' night. It was 80's night there & I played a game ("Name That Tune") and won! This was my prize. But, as it is a size small & I am not, I let Vanessa keep it.
